"Paul Pope says his life “makes Charlie Sheen look angelic,” so his memoir should make one heck of a movie. The son of late National Enquirer founder Gene Pope tells us a deal is “imminent” to turn his memoir, “Confessions of a Rich Kid From Hell,” into a film. Describing the project as a “docu-drama,” Pope says he’s working with Oscar-winning “Inside Job” director Charles Ferguson. Pope, who just launched the Pope Media Center, which archives his family’s work, claims there’s always been “more interest in my story” than his kin because of his “sex, drugs and rock ’n’ roll” lifestyle."

It was another really successful THE DEEDS OF MY FATHER launch party Wednesday night, this time in Ft. Lauderdale, where hundreds showed up—including tennis legend Anna Kournikova, Kelly Bensimon of Real Housewives of New York, Federico Castelluccio of the Sopranos, and Joey Fatone of N’Sync. There were some amazingly talented performers, including my favorite, a woman who danced with fire stakes coming out of her waist. Paul Pope was really happy that every last copy of the book sold out, with the proceeds going to benefit the American Heart Association. "The way things are going," says Paul, "I could keep this up forever." Read about the event. Click here to view photos.
